A growing church and elementary school community planning to improve their outdated facilities required a roadmap for future development projects. Following a series of meetings with various church and school committees, a detailed master plan was developed that would create additional program space, re-order and renovate existing facilities and address issues of accessibility. A proposed classroom addition connects the original church and school structures while capturing the once neglected space between buildings to create a landscaped courtyard. A new entry sequence clarifies vehicular and pedestrian circulation and creates a welcoming point of arrival for both church and school.
